Four Nene Valley athletes attended a Northern open meeting at Sheffield on Saturday 7 November 2015. This is an early season blast out and often used to gain some speed work whilst the weather is too cold outside for the same level of quality. Nene Valley Harrier’s Tracy McCartney and Ruth Jones showed that ‘there ain't no mountain high enough’ for them last weekend. Sunday 30 August 2015 proved to be a golden day for Nene Valley Harrier athletes Hannah Molyneaux and William Hughes despite the rain and winds on the day. Three gold medals on Sunday and a silver on Saturday was one of the best medal hauls in history for NVH and we also witnessed a club record broken on poor weather conditions. ...moreSEAA Championships

NVH went into Saturday 15 August 2015's final SAL fixture at Stevenage in second place just 15 match points behind the league leaders, Crawley who were competing at Blackheath and Bromley. The team travelled down knowing that this would be a tough fixture but with only a few gaps in the team due to unavailable athletes. In all cases those gaps were filled by athletes stating their wish to compete, a team managers dream. It was soon evident that this would be an extremely tough match to win, two international heptathletes identified early on, two top ten UK ranked throwers also spotted all before the meeting even commenced. Norfolk has proved to be a happy hunting ground for the Nene Valley Harriers high flyers this month.
