Philippa Taylor takes podium place at Watford Half just one week after winning a marathon

Philippa is flying!

Top prolific veteran runner Philippa Taylor followed up a marathon victory in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, with a podium position at the Watford Half Marathon just seven days later on Sunday (Feb 2).

The 46-year-old Nene Valley Harrier finished third lady, completing the challenging course in 1:21:03, one week after winning the Gran Canaria Marathon in 2:54:27.
Taylor’s next race will be on home turf on the hills of the Stamford 30k, where she will be aiming to retain the title she won last year, and perhaps set a new V45 best time to add to the V40 course record she set in 2011, when she ran 1:56:50.
