A speedy Sean Reidy sets new world record at Masters Grand Prix meeting

Speedy Reidy clocks world record

Peterborough & Nene Valley Athletic Club member Sean Reidy became the fastest over 40 in the history of the indoor 400m hurdles event at the Masters Grand Prix meeting on Saturday 5 February in Sheffield. Reidy ran 57:00, taking over three seconds off the previous record which had stood for two years.

Claire Smith, who was number one in the national over 45s 400m rankings last year, clocked 63:85, Dave Brown ran a 2:11:48 800m and Russ Dowers won his 800m race in 2:19:09. Click for full report
