Open Indoor Track meeting at Sheffield


A group of Nene Valley Harriers athletes took the preference of avoiding the wind and rain suffered by those competing for the club in the North Midlands Cross Country league fixture, but all were sprinters for the club and did not really have the alternative in their plans. ...more

Northern Open Indoor, Sheffield


Four Nene Valley athletes attended a Northern open meeting at Sheffield on Saturday 7 November 2015. This is an early season blast out and often used to gain some speed work whilst the weather is too cold outside for the same level of quality. Tracy and Ruth conquer the mountains!


Nene Valley Harrier’s Tracy McCartney and Ruth Jones showed that ‘there ain't no mountain high enough’ for them last weekend. The pair of golden girls both won long distance races in the Welsh mountains despite being used to training on much more forgiving terrain. ...more

Nene Valley Harriers enjoyed their most successful campaign in the men's 6 stage Road Relays for many years, finishing 38th in the national finals at Sutton Coldfield on Saturday. ...more

On Saturday 12 September 2015, eleven NVH athletes represented their county, Lincolnshire in an Inter-counties Match at Cudworth (Barnsley) on a typical Yorkshire day, strong gusty winds, frequent rain showers and a great view of the Yorkshire Valleys. ...more

EA U15 and U17 Champs


Sunday 30 August 2015 proved to be a golden day for Nene Valley Harrier athletes Hannah Molyneaux and William Hughes despite the rain and winds on the day. Three gold medals on Sunday and a silver on Saturday was one of the best medal hauls in history for NVH and we also witnessed a club record broken on poor weather conditions. ...more

Athletes from Nene Valley Harriers dominated the Barney 5k at Ferry Meadows last Wednesday, winning the men's and ladies races and comfortably taking both team prizes. ...more

World Masters - NVH member part of world record!

A trio of Nene Valley Harriers' young Lincolnshire based stars enjoyed a hugely successful weekend in the North of England Athletics Championship, returning with four gold medals and a silver. ...more

SAL, Stevenage


NVH went into Saturday 15 August 2015's final SAL fixture at Stevenage in second place just 15 match points behind the league leaders, Crawley who were competing at Blackheath and Bromley. The team travelled down knowing that this would be a tough fixture but with only a few gaps in the team due to unavailable athletes. In all cases those gaps were filled by athletes stating their wish to compete, a team managers dream. It was soon evident that this would be an extremely tough match to win, two international heptathletes identified early on, two top ten UK ranked throwers also spotted all before the meeting even commenced. EAL, King's Lynn


Norfolk has proved to be a happy hunting ground for the Nene Valley Harriers high flyers this month. Last week it was Norwich, and on Sunday King's Lynn was the venue, as the city club qualified for the final of the East Anglian League with a high quality display of running, jumping and throwing. ...more

The only way was Essex for Nene Valley Harriers on Sunday, as the clubs talented track and field squad made their way to Chelmsford for the 2nd round of this years Southern Athletics League, where they took on Blackheath and Bromley, City of Portsmouth and Chelmsford Athletic Clubs.
