The third venue is - Edmondscote Athletics Track, River Close (just off Princes Drive), Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32 6AD. Stratford are hosting the event.
Edmondscote Track is an all weather track surrounded by towering poplar trees. This attractive facility hosts events up to regional level. The track was refurbished in 2003/04 with investment from Warwick District Council and Sport England Lottery funding under the UK Athletics Community Athletics Refurbishment Programme.
The original cinder track was replaced with a 400 metre synthetic all weather surface in September 1986. The track now boasts an eight lane circuit and a ten lane home straight, full floodlighting, PA System, changing and shower facilities.
We shall be against - Stratford, Kidderminster, Rushcliffe, Leamington A & CC, Sutton in Ashfield, Dudley & Stourbridge, Nuneaton
A new season and a new format for our club. This year we have entered the National Young Athletes League (NYAL Midland Division 2) the reasons are to give competition for all levels, this league is of a higher standard than the East Anglian League (EAL), having two squads will give more opportunity for all. The NYAL representatives will be selected, whereas all can do the EAL. The change will be, those who are part of the NYAL will be non-scorers for the EAL to allow opportunity for others to improve, unless there is no one for the event. There will be teething problems!
The NYAL team will be selected from those available for the first two matches, then in consultation with other coaches will be selected for the second two, this allows athletes to prove themselves during the season.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARRIVE AT THE VENUE AT LEAST ONE HOUR BEFORE YOUR EVENT IS DUE TO START
Athletes selected will be notified well in advance of the event
